Syvecs Pro is a slick and unique app that makes use of the Syvecs bluetooth module, bringing a fresh new display that is packed full of amazing features:- 1) Dashboards - Syvecs Pro has multiple unique modern style designed dashes to choose from that are fully customisable by the user. - Each Dash has quick gauge swapping by holding a gauge and selecting a new input. The new gauge is added instantly and stored for future use 2) Data Logging that can be extracted and shared with tuners or to view in Syvecs Sview. The Data logging captures data from all set Frame and Slot content. Once shared and imported into SView, all data can be viewed as if it was exported from the ecu. 3) Performance Pack - This is awesome for anyone wanting to track the performance of their vehicle. Using a combination of data inputs and GPS, the user can track - Drag Tree reaction times - Standard Tree and Pro Tree - Top Speed - 0 - 60 mph / 0 - 96 kmh - 0 - 100 mph / 0 161 kmh - 1/4 Mile Speed - 1/4 Mile Time - Current Vehicle Speed - GPS Vehicle Speed 4) Warning System - Users have the ability to add Warnings for over 150 inputs received from the ECU. This allows anyone to protect their vehicles and receive instant warnings when something is not correct or is restricted e.g. Limp Mode as engine is cold. 5) Setup Wizard - We know how tedious setting up the frame content can be, so we have worked hard on coming up with a simple way to setup the inputs. The design allows the user to tap a cell and then select the gauge, the rest is taken care of and is stored. So setting up the app have been reduced from something that could take huge amounts of time to something that can be setup within a matter of minutes or select from a selection of preset data stream layouts. 6) Setup Tool - Stream Checker - When setting up the bluetooth module, we want you to be able to see when you have the best setup possible. Stream checker allows just this by giving the user the helpful data such as - packets of data per second - Number of valid packets of data - Number of invalid packets of data - Total packets received - Data ratio - And much more

Measure acceleration times such as 0–60 mph, 60–120 mph and 1/4 mile directly with your iPhone — accurately and without extra hardware. The app is designed so it doesn’t need to be operated while driving; you just set everything up beforehand while stationary. Measurements then start automatically — when the target speed is reached or when a start is detected. You can save results locally on your iPhone and, if needed, export them or transfer them to other devices. Preset timers: 60 ft, 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, 1 mile, 0 – 60 mph, 0 – 120 mph, 50 – 75 mph, 60 – 120 mph, 0 – 100 km/h, 0 – 200 km/h, 80 – 120 km/h, 100 – 200 km/h. All timers are, of course, fully adjustable. The free version measures up to two times per run. How to use the app: Check the timer settings on the start screen. If everything looks good, place your iPhone in the car where it has good GPS reception and is held securely, then start the acceleration test. You can adjust the timer configuration in the Settings screen (just tap the relevant timer). Then return to the race screen and follow the previous instruction. Optional PRO version (in-app purchase): 1. Up to four timers in parallel (instead of two) 2. Precise determination of elevation differences 3. Simulation of a Sportsman start and reaction-time measurement 4. No ad banners

Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Syvecs Pro at 100% against GPS Race Timer's 34%. Syvecs Pro also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). GPS Race Timer's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (2.7K vs 3). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Syvecs Pro sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and GPS Race Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
GPS Race Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GPS Race Timer has 2.7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Syvecs Pro's written reviews are positive against 34% of GPS Race Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Syvecs Pro ships an update every 5 weeks, GPS Race Timer every 7 months. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
