Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: CloudBiometry at 4.0 against FluidSecure's 3.3. FluidSecure's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (31 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

CloudBiometry holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FluidSecure has 31 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of FluidSecure's written reviews are positive against 50% of CloudBiometry's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

FluidSecure ships an update every 3 weeks, CloudBiometry every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
