Hiker Trash is an offline-ready hiking logbook and social map for long-distance hikers, section hikers, and day hikers. TRAIL LOGBOOKS Record daily mileage, locations, ascent and descent, notes, photos, weather, sleeping arrangements, trail magic, and other details from your hike. Log entries can be saved on your phone when you are offline and synced to the cloud when a connection returns. TRACK MILEAGE YOUR WAY Keep official trail progress separate from your total walking mileage. Record red-line trail miles, blue blazes, yellow blazes and road walks, closure reroutes, and sidequest hikes without losing sight of how far you actually walked. You can also record individual day hikes and daily walks without creating a multi-day hike. MAPS AND MY PINS Each daily log can save a location from your phone. Review your hiking history on the map, adjust a log’s pin later, and explore locations shared by other hikers. Use the All, Active, Following, and Tramily map filters to see the trail community at different levels. HIKER PROFILES AND TRAMILY Build a hiking profile from your completed, active, paused, and planned hikes. Follow other hikers, connect with your tramily, view shared trail activity, and keep up with the people who matter to you. ANALYTICS AND HANG TAGS Review mileage, elevation, pace, hiking streaks, zeros, neros, overnight statistics, route mileage, and other details from individual hikes or your complete hiking history. Earn Hang Tags for meaningful hiking milestones. PRIVACY AND LOCATION CONTROLS Choose who can see your shared location and profile information. Location visibility can be limited to your tramily or shared more broadly with authenticated Hiker Trash users. Location updates occur only while Hiker Trash is active. Tracking can also be paused from Settings. BUILT FOR OFFLINE TRAIL USE Hiker Trash is designed for places where cellular service may disappear for hours or days. Keep logging on your phone while offline, then sync your records when service returns. Keep the trail journal. Remember the people. See you on trail!
