The clearest difference is rating: Auto Monkey at 3.4 against FYX Mechanic's 1.0. Auto Monkey also leads on ratings volume (37 vs 1). FYX Mechanic's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (67% vs 57%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Auto Monkey holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Auto Monkey has 37 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of FYX Mechanic's written reviews are positive against 57% of Auto Monkey's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
FYX Mechanic ships an update monthly, Auto Monkey every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
