Check your current altitude and see how much you have climbed. Altimeter shows your altitude, daily peak and elevation gain on hikes, bike rides and mountain drives. Use it on iPhone and Apple Watch, or view your altitude in CarPlay. ALTITUDE IN YOUR CAR The native CarPlay app has its own view for altitude, climb or descent per minute, grade, direction, peak and gain. It is an altitude display, not a navigation app. Set it up before driving. ALTITUDE WITHOUT SWITCHING APPS Start a Live Activity on iPhone to see altitude, peak and gain on the Lock Screen. Compatible iPhones also show these values in the Dynamic Island. Live Activity and the native CarPlay app are separate features. Widgets and Watch complications show your latest available altitude data. LOOK BACK AT YOUR ROUTE Record a track and open it on the map later. The line is colored by elevation; the color scale shows lower and higher sections. Daily history shows your altitude profile, peak and ascent. Monthly and yearly views help you compare your altitude history. FIT IT TO YOUR DAY • Display altitude in meters or feet • Check altitude on Apple Watch • Use Siri or Shortcuts to start a Live Activity or ask for your altitude • Optionally use existing Flights Climbed data from Apple Health in your analysis BEFORE YOU START Readings depend on GPS reception, sensors and location permissions. Background features require appropriate permissions. iOS and watchOS limit widget and complication refreshes; these are not continuously live displays. The app does not replace professional measurement equipment, navigation or safety equipment. ACCESS New users can try the app for two days. Continued access then requires a monthly subscription, annual subscription or one-time lifetime purchase. Existing purchases can be restored in the app. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
Taac! EV Charging
Read full descriptionHide full description
Taac! is the app for charging your electric car with no subscription, no card and no prepaid balance. Open it, look at the map, plug in. You pay with the card you already have, and the invoice lands in your history. WHAT IT COSTS, BEFORE YOU PLUG IN Pick your car from the Garage and the app tells you what adding half a battery costs: kWh, minutes and euros, from a catalogue of 170 models, with nothing to type in. Where a charger has both AC and DC you see both estimates. The price is per kWh, tax included, written down before you start. Nothing appears afterwards. A MAP THAT TELLS THE TRUTH Live availability: green is free, red is busy. Tesla Superchargers and Destination chargers are on it too, with the number of stalls and whether they are open to every car. Search an address and every pop-up tells you how far it is from there. The List shows the twelve chargers nearest the centre of the map, ours and roaming together. Filters stay as you left them, even after a restart. And if a cheaper charger sits nearby, with the same socket and speed, the app says so. MORE THAN 27,000 STATIONS ACROSS EUROPE Alongside our own chargers you get more than 27,000 stations and 97,000 sockets on the roaming network, across much of Europe. Every brand's price list is public and readable inside the app: knowing the price before you arrive is rarer than it should be. THE SOCKET STAYS YOURS Reserve the socket and nobody takes it while you drive there. If it is busy, tap "Notify me" and the app calls you when it frees up. Chargers you use often become favourites, with the name you choose: "Home", "Office", not a code. THE GARAGE, AND IF YOU DRIVE A TESLA Put all your cars in the Garage, with the nickname you like and the maker's logo; the first one is the default, and before each charge you pick the one you are driving. Each Tesla has its own account linked: the charge port opens by itself when you start, the climate turns on as charging ends, and during the session you set amps and limit with one tap and see what time it will finish. You have two minutes to plug in, with a countdown in view, and roaming charges live on the same screen as Taac! ones, with the same controls. ON YOUR WRIST, IN THE CAR, AT WORK Taac! is on Apple Watch too: nearby chargers, start, status and stop from your wrist. On CarPlay you find chargers and start charging from the car screen, while parked. Companies handle their drivers' charging with cost centres, without personal cards. Notifications tell you when charging starts, when it ends, if something goes wrong, and when the socket you are following is free again. The app speaks 14 languages.
