Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Poor Bunny! at 4.8 against Planet Squirrel's 3.7. Poor Bunny! also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 22 months) and ratings volume (2.6K vs 3). Planet Squirrel's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Poor Bunny! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Planet Squirrel asks for nothing beyond the download.
Poor Bunny! holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Poor Bunny! has 2.6K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Planet Squirrel's written reviews are positive against 92% of Poor Bunny!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Planet Squirrel ships an update every 22 months, Poor Bunny! every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
