Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Divineko at 4.9 against Planet Squirrel's 3.7. Divineko also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 22 months) and ratings volume (18K vs 3). Planet Squirrel's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 14). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Divineko sells 14 one-off in-app purchases. Planet Squirrel asks for nothing beyond the download.
Divineko holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Divineko has 18K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Planet Squirrel's written reviews are positive against 97% of Divineko's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Planet Squirrel ships an update every 22 months, Divineko monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
