ScrollBlock
Read full descriptionHide full description
Scroll Block is a gamified productivity app that helps young adults reduce excessive scrolling by turning screen time into a reward. When a user tries to open a blocked app like TikTok, Scroll Block blocks access and sends them to the app. To earn back their scrolling time, the user chooses topics they are interested in and rolls a virtual dice to randomly select one. The app then creates five AI-powered flashcards about the selected topic. After studying the flashcards, the user completes a short three-question quiz to test what they learned. If they answer the questions correctly, they earn 30 minutes of scrolling time. Once the 30 minutes are over, the process starts again, encouraging users to spend less time mindlessly scrolling and more time learning.
