USED BY PROFESSIONALS Serious musicians improve because their next session starts with a plan. "Musically life changing app! Amazing app that every serious musician should have! Bravo." -- Richard Stoelzel, President World Trumpet Society & Professor of Trumpet, McGill. "I am amazed how well the Modacity system works." -- Anne, amateur violinist “As a trumpet player (ergo, loudmouthed and opinionated) I’ve often been wrong. However, in this case I’ve never been wronger. The app has become the central pillar of my practice schedule and I’d be lost without it. With that in mind, the price is cheap!!” -- John Thirkell, trumpet & flugelhorn - Jamiroquai, Level 42, Buddy Rich Band "Swiss army knife to organize and focus my music practice. I can’t imagine my life without it" -- Armen, product manager & duduk player “Just wanted to tell you how helpful this app has been over the years. I got my first regional job at 640 hours and then one more regional gig and a one year with a big orchestra at 930 hours on the app.” -- Samuel Wamhoff, Principal Trombone - Modesto Symphony Orchestra; 2nd Trmb - Stockton Symphony; Acting 2nd - San Francisco Opera METRONOME — Professional-grade metronome with subdivisions, accent patterns, and tap tempo. Sonofield Ear Trainer (SET) is a revolutionary ear training app designed to help you intuitively play the melodies you hear and imagine. Instead of relying on traditional old methods like intervals, SET focuses on helping you feel the unique character of each note within a key. By using sustained drones to create a tonal foundation, you’ll learn to recognize scale degrees based on their *feeling*, not just how they sound. The app offers a variety of ways to train: * Degrees Mode - Identify individual notes against the drone by feeling. The heart of SET. * Melody Mode - Identify short melodic phrases, preparing you for real music. * Voice Mode - Sing the requested scale degree into your microphone. * Pocket Mode - Hands-free training for when you're on the go. * Free Play - An interactive instrument for exploration. With its intuitive, color-coded interface, thoughtfully designed progression path, and multiple difficulty levels, SET adapts to your skill level while keeping practice engaging. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced musician, SET is your guide to unlocking true musical fluency through intuitive, feeling-based ear training. No ads or forced payments.
