Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: myFirstech at 4.0 against BlackVue Battery's 1.4. myFirstech also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months). BlackVue Battery's advantage is ratings volume (84 vs 8) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
myFirstech holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 1.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BlackVue Battery has 84 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 3% of BlackVue Battery's written reviews are positive against 0% of myFirstech's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
BlackVue Battery ships an update every 6 months, myFirstech monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
