Verdict
WelcomeBob and MitID both sit at 1.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 50% of WelcomeBob's written reviews are positive against 5% of MitID's. WelcomeBob also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). MitID's advantage is ratings volume (195 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
MitID holds the better App Store score, 1.2 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MitID has 195 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of WelcomeBob's written reviews are positive against 5% of MitID's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
WelcomeBob ships an update every 3 weeks, MitID every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
