Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: RF Connect at 2.0 against Air Command's 1.0. RF Connect also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (21 vs 4). Air Command's advantage is review sentiment (14% vs 5%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RF Connect holds the better App Store score, 2.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RF Connect has 21 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of Air Command's written reviews are positive against 5% of RF Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Air Command ships an update every 5 months, RF Connect every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
