Verdict
CIELO USAL and TV5MONDE EDU both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 82% of TV5MONDE EDU's written reviews are positive against 50% of CIELO USAL's. TV5MONDE EDU also leads on ratings volume (2.2K vs 3). CIELO USAL's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
CIELO USAL holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TV5MONDE EDU has 2.2K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of CIELO USAL's written reviews are positive against 82% of TV5MONDE EDU's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
CIELO USAL ships an update every 2 weeks, TV5MONDE EDU monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
