HapticNav® is a haptic navigation app, paired with an optional HapticNav® wristband, that gently guides you to your destination using vibration, without the need for any visual or audio feedback. Our patented Haptic Corridor™ works like a compass, giving you feedback based on the direction you are facing. When you are in the Haptic Corridor™ you feel no vibrations at all. When you turn you begin to feel a slight vibration. And that vibration gets stronger the more you turn away from the correct direction. We tested with 1000s of users and it is so intuitive, most can figure out the correct way to go without any instruction. STEP Navigation is designed to help blind and low vision users find building entrances, and navigate while inside. Pinpoint your exact location using virtual anchors and follow the precise guidance to within a cane's length of your destination. The App uses computer vision to support outdoors with precision much greater than GPS-only technologies. If you have a place you'd like to navigate to outdoors where high-precision is a must (e.g., a building entrance or a bus stop), you can request that we add it to our mapping database using an in-app form. For indoor navigation, you can create your own private maps or utilize public maps provided by others. Our set of public maps is small, but we are working to bring more maps online.
