Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: FlightView EFIS at 100% against EFIS TA's 75%. EFIS TA's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
EFIS TA holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of EFIS TA's written reviews are positive against 100% of FlightView EFIS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
EFIS TA ships an update every 2 months, FlightView EFIS every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
