The clearest difference is review sentiment: SOLARMAN Smart at 45% against iCarPlayer's 0%. SOLARMAN Smart also leads on ratings volume (5.8K vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). iCarPlayer's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.1). Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
iCarPlayer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SOLARMAN Smart has 5.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of iCarPlayer's written reviews are positive against 45% of SOLARMAN Smart's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
iCarPlayer ships an update every 2 months, SOLARMAN Smart every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
