Developed to support students enrolled in ilearntoboat's Official Interactive Boating Safety Course, this app is the mobile companion to the web-based course. The ilearntoboat interactive course is built around a branching-narrative story called “The Mystery of Kalkomey Island” where you'll complete your boating safety education requirements by joining four friends as they embark on a boating adventure encountering storms, boat thieves, and a mysterious island. While completing the course, you'll make real-world boating decisions as you unlock a series of immersive, role player–learning activities timed to occur at relevant points as boating adventure story unfolds. Each learning activity is aligned to a specific student performance objective and features a robust learning engine that teaches, assesses, and provides remediation based on your input. This innovative approach to online education was developed using research in cognitive and behavioral science to create a highly motivational learning experience. The ilearntoboat interactive course is the first and only interactive course that meets The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) requirements for interactive learning aligned to the American National Standards Basic Boating Knowledge—Power.
