Get to a healthier and more active life with Google Fit! It’s hard to know how much or what kind of activity you need to stay healthy. That’s why Google Fit collaborated with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Heart Association (AHA) to bring you Heart Points, an activity goal that can help improve your health. Activities that get your heart pumping harder have tremendous health benefits for your heart and mind. You’ll earn one Heart Point for each minute of moderate activity like picking up the pace when walking your dog, and double points for more intense activities like running. It takes just 30-minutes of brisk walking five days a week to reach the AHA and WHO’s recommended amount of physical activity shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, improve sleep, and increase overall mental wellbeing. Google Fit will also help you: SEE YOUR WORKOUTS Get insights and see stats such as heart rate, speed, pace, route, and more for your runs, walks, and bike rides. MONITOR YOUR GOALS See your daily progress on your Heart Points and steps. Meeting your goals all the time? Easily adjust your goals to keep challenging yourself to achieve a healthy heart and mind. MAKE EVERY MOVE COUNT All physical activity can help you lead a healthier life, and with Google Fit you can track it all in one place. Working with your favorite fitness apps and devices, Google Fit builds a journal of your activity. And to make sure Fit never misses a workout, you can manually add any activity your other apps didn’t track - from Aerobics to Zumba! CONNECT WITH YOUR FAVORITE APPS AND DEVICES Google Fit can show you info from many of your favorite apps and devices that are compatible with Apple Health to give you a holistic view of your health, so you’ll never lose track of your progress. These include Lifesum, Runkeeper, Strava, MyFitnessPal, Headspace, and more. PokeT-Walk logs the steps you really walked but your phone never counted, and writes them into Apple Health. No account. No sign-up. Nothing to connect. Pick a distance, tap once, and the steps and walking distance go straight into Apple Health. Other apps that read Health decide for themselves whether to count them. WHEN YOU NEED IT • You walked at work, where you cannot carry your phone • You went out for a walk or a run and left the phone at home • Your battery died and those steps were never recorded • You walked indoors or on a treadmill and want it to count WHAT IT DOES • One tap to log: pick a distance, press once • Writes to Apple Health: steps and walking distance together • History and charts: every entry you have synced, any time • Custom Walk (PRO): any distance from 0.5 to 25 km, any pace from 2 to 12 km/h • Natural Pace switch: the daily guard is yours to turn off in Settings • Dark mode HOW TO USE IT 1. Allow PokeT-Walk to write to Apple Health 2. Tap the distance you walked 3. Steps and distance are saved to Health FREQUENTLY ASKED Do I need an account? No. There is no login and no sign-up. Does it work offline? Yes. Logging steps needs no internet connection. Where do the steps go? Into the Health app built into your iPhone. Any other app that reads Health can read them. Will every app count these steps? Not necessarily. Some apps and games only count steps their own software recorded and ignore anything another app wrote into Health. That is their decision, not a setting in PokeT-Walk, and no app can change it for them. Is there a free version? Yes. Logging steps is free. PRO removes ads and unlocks Custom Walk. Is there a daily limit? By default a Natural Pace guard keeps entries within a believable walking rhythm. You can switch it off in Settings, and then there is no limit. How soon do the steps appear? Writing to Health is immediate. Other apps that read Health refresh on their own schedule, which can take a while. IF SOMETHING DOES NOT SYNC Settings > Help covers how to check Health permissions, how to restore a purchase, and what to do when an entry does not show up. ABOUT PRO PRO removes ads and unlocks Custom Walk. Duration and price are shown on the purchase screen inside the app. Terms of Use: https://ghapps1.wordpress.com/terms-condition/ Privacy Policy: https://ghapps1.wordpress.com/privacy-policy/

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Google Fit at 4.2 against PokeT's 3.7. Google Fit also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). PokeT's advantage is review sentiment (52% vs 20%) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 5 weeks). On price and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PokeT sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Google Fit asks for nothing beyond the download.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Google Fit holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2.2K and 582 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Google Fit's written reviews are positive against 52% of PokeT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Google Fit ships an update every 5 weeks, PokeT every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
