Furthermore, the simulation provides statistical data on the catastrophic effects of nuclear weapons at a selected location, including the extent of destruction and the number of people affected. Users can also experience realistic animations of nuclear bombs being dropped from planes such as the B2 Spirit or Tupolev, depending on the country of origin, as well as the iconic mushroom cloud effects. Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: First Strike at 4.5 against Nuke Simulator 2024's 3.2. First Strike also leads on ratings volume (9K vs 17). Nuke Simulator 2024's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly) and review sentiment (63% vs 49%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. First Strike sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Nuke Simulator 2024 sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

First Strike holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: First Strike has 9K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of First Strike's written reviews are positive against 63% of Nuke Simulator 2024's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

First Strike ships an update monthly, Nuke Simulator 2024 every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
