Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: XbotGo at 4.5 against PIXEM Camera's 3.4. XbotGo also leads on ratings volume (1.5K vs 28) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). PIXEM Camera's advantage is review sentiment (40% vs 32%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. PIXEM Camera sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month and XbotGo sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
XbotGo holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: XbotGo has 1.5K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of PIXEM Camera's written reviews are positive against 32% of XbotGo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
PIXEM Camera ships an update every 5 weeks, XbotGo fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
