auGEN X bridges the creative musical world of artists with the exacting scientific world of audio engineers. The call

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: auGEN X at none against Agonizer's 3. auGEN X also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 11.0). Agonizer's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (203 vs 12). On review sentiment, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Agonizer holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Agonizer has 203 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of auGEN X's written reviews are positive against 78% of Agonizer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

auGEN X ships an update every 3 months, Agonizer every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
