Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: iAM48 at 3.8 against UPICK's 1.1. iAM48 also leads on review sentiment (41% vs 3%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). UPICK's advantage is ratings volume (577 vs 23) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. iAM48 sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and UPICK sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
iAM48 holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 1.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UPICK has 577 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 41% of iAM48's written reviews are positive against 3% of UPICK's.
iAM48 ships an update every 5 weeks, UPICK fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
