Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: JPLAY at 4.2 against yaMPC's 3.5. JPLAY also leads on review sentiment (59% vs 33%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). yaMPC's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
