Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Prkn at 79% against Al's 0%. Prkn also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (2.3K vs 1). Al's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Al holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Prkn has 2.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Al's written reviews are positive against 79% of Prkn's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Al ships an update every 9 months, Prkn every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
