Waves is an interactive environment for exploring graphical solutions to partial differential equations. Waves currently consists of three activities that explore Fourier series as well as series solutions to the heat and wave equations. Fourier is a tool for plotting a Fourier series that best approximates a periodic function. Diffusion plots solutions to the one-dimensional heat equation in space and animates the time evolution. Waves plots solutions to the one-dimensional wave equation in space and allows. In each of these activities you can specify the appropriate boundary and/or initial conditions. The app contains built-in examples as well as the option to save your work for future analysis. You can use Waves for homework, in-class activities or a new research project.
3D Rotations and Quaternions

3D Rotations and Quaternions is an interactive tool for users who work with 3D orientation math in graphics, roboticsor simulation. It provides precise computations, clean visualizations, and fast conversions between the standard rotation representations. Features include: • Conversion between Euler angles, axis–angle, quaternions, and rotation matrices • Interactive 3D visualization and rotation animation • Quaternion interpolation (LERP and SLERP) • Rotation of user-defined points by user-defined quaternions • Determination of a quaternion that rotates vector v into vector w • Composition of up to 10 sequential quaternion rotations • Quaternion generation from constant angular velocity and time • Reflection of a point across a plane Feedback and suggestions: graphmath@aol.com

Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: 3D Rotations and Quaternions at every 3 weeks against Waves's every 2 months. Waves's advantage is iOS requirement (11.4 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
