simpleFIRE turns the big money questions into three simple calculators. Move a few sliders, watch the chart, and see what your plan really looks like. PROJECTION Start with what you already have, add what you invest each month, pick a period and an expected annual return. Watch the portfolio grow year by year, with your contributions and the interest they earned shown side by side. TIME TO FI Set your FI target and see when the portfolio gets there — the year and month, the passive income your target pays, and how far along you are each year. DRAWDOWN Start taking money out and see how long the portfolio lasts: the year and month it runs dry, how much you withdraw along the way, and whether the returns outrun your withdrawals. MONTE CARLO Markets don't pay the same return every year. Switch any calculator to Monte Carlo and test your plan against 5,000 market scenarios built on S&P 500 and US Treasury history since 1928. Set your mix of stocks and bonds with one slider and read the result at the confidence level you choose (90% by default): the portfolio you reach, when you reach FI, or the chance your withdrawals last through your planning horizon. EVERY NUMBER, EXPLAINED Tap the result card for the full picture: a year-by-year chart you can tap through, contributions and interest for each year and so far, the year interest overtakes your contributions, and a plain list of the assumptions behind the calculation. Inflation is one tap away on every calculator: see Projection in today's money, or set an FI target that keeps up with prices. PREMIUM — ONE PAYMENT, NO SUBSCRIPTION - Time to FI and Drawdown modes - Monte Carlo: thousands of market scenarios, your stocks and bonds mix, your confidence level - Saved profiles: keep several plans and switch in a tap - Calculation settings: inflation, contribution frequency, timing and yearly increases, compounding, withdrawal rate, planning horizon - PDF and image report: share a clean summary of any calculation, as a PDF or as a picture Projection is free and stays free. No ads anywhere in the app. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no sign-in, no tracking, no analytics. Your numbers stay on your device, every simulation runs on it, and the app asks for no permissions. Built for iPhone and iPad, and it runs on Mac too. Dark and light themes, your currency, your number format. simpleFIRE gives you estimates based on the assumptions you set and on past market data, which does not guarantee future returns. It is a calculator, not financial advice. EULA: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
