Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: YRU at 4.3 against Goodbye Bread's 3.3. YRU also leads on ratings volume (180 vs 23). Goodbye Bread's advantage is review sentiment (40% vs 16%) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
YRU holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: YRU has 180 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Goodbye Bread's written reviews are positive against 16% of YRU's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Goodbye Bread ships an update every 5 weeks, YRU every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and June 9, 2026 respectively.
