Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Backbone at 51% against M7G Forum's 0%. Backbone also leads on rating (4.8 vs 2.7) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 21 months). M7G Forum's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
