Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Perch Door Sim at 100% against AIPHONE Type GT's 4%. Perch Door Sim also leads on iOS requirement (12.1 vs 15.0). AIPHONE Type GT's advantage is rating (3.9 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (100 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
AIPHONE Type GT holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AIPHONE Type GT has 100 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Perch Door Sim's written reviews are positive against 4% of AIPHONE Type GT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
