Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Weight Lifting at freemium against Clank's subscription. Clank's advantage is ratings volume (584 vs 34) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Clank sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per 3 months and Weight Lifting sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Clank holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clank has 584 ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 68% and 67% positive.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
