In the past, when small-to-medium sized companies had a need for financing working capital, product development, and sales and marketing, the sources of financing were usually limited to the traditional ones, including banks and financial intermediaries, or through borrowings from families and friends. With the implementation of Title III of the JOBS Act in 2016, it's time to make some changes. Therefore, we founded Mr. Crowd, which operates MrCrowd.com, an equity crowdfunding portal dedicated to helping small-to-medium sized companies to raise funds. Mr. Crowd is an SEC-registered equity crowdfunding platform, where a community of retail investors invests their money in small to medium-sized businesses. Mr. Crowd offers retail investors the opportunity to invest in various businesses, building upon their own investment portfolio, supporting US businesses and seeking investment returns.

Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mr. Crowd at 100% against MicroVentures's 13%. Mr. Crowd also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and ratings volume (3 vs 1). MicroVentures's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 40 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
MicroVentures holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of MicroVentures's written reviews are positive against 100% of Mr. Crowd's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
MicroVentures ships an update every 3 weeks, Mr. Crowd every 40 months. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and June 1, 2026 respectively.
