About

Webcam Remote

Features

Webcam Remote provides live, local control of a webcam connected to your own Mac or Windows computer. Pair a phone, tablet, Mac, or Windows PC, then preview the camera, take photos, record video, switch between available webcams, and manage completed captures from one focused interface. The app is useful when the camera and controls cannot be in the same place: frame a group photo from in front of the lens, monitor a camera beside equipment, check a room from elsewhere on the same premises, or capture a demonstration while controlling it from a nearby phone or tablet. Webcam Remote communicates directly over your local Wi-Fi or LAN. No cloud account, internet relay, cloud storage, advertising, or analytics is required. Pairing must be approved, local requests use encrypted pinned connections, and webcam permissions remain on the computer that owns the camera. Photos and video-only H.264/MP4 recordings transfer to the controller and appear in Records. Review, save, share, or delete completed files. Mac and Windows can host a webcam; mobile devices act as controllers and Records libraries. Use Webcam Remote only with devices, people, and places you are authorized to view or record. The app is designed for visible, attended use - not covert or unattended surveillance.
