Verdict
Babyscripts myJourney and Children's Wisconsin both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Children's Wisconsin's written reviews are positive against 26% of Babyscripts myJourney's. Babyscripts myJourney's advantage is ratings volume (7.2K vs 23) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Babyscripts myJourney holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Babyscripts myJourney has 7.2K ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of Babyscripts myJourney's written reviews are positive against 100% of Children's Wisconsin's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Babyscripts myJourney ships an update every 2 weeks, Children's Wisconsin every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
