A key stage 2 revision app for Year 6 - ten and eleven year olds sitting their tests in May. It practises maths, spelling, punctuation grammar and reading against the Year 6 curriculum, works out which topics keep going wrong, and focuses on these areas. TEN MINUTES A DAY, EVERY DAY A revision timetable counts backwards from test week and asks for something every day: a short warm-up, then the mix today needs. Streaks reward improvements and effort. Rest days are built in so one busy evening does not wipe out weeks of work. IT NOTICES WHAT IS HARD Every answer updates a picture of what your child can do, topic by topic across 98 skills. Questions come back on a spaced schedule — sooner for the tricky ones, later once they have grasped. A focus session serves nothing but the topics that keep going wrong. A SPOKEN SPELLING TEST Ten words from the statutory Year 5 and 6 list, read aloud one at a time with twenty seconds to write each — the way the real spelling paper is administered. The time per word is adjustable. Words spelt correctly come round less often; words that keep going wrong come back soon. SQUARED PAPER, BUILT IN Long multiplication and division get a proper working grid with carry boxes, so a child can set the sum out as they would on paper instead of holding it in their head. FULL PAPERS, TIMED All six papers a child actually sits, at their real lengths, including the spelling paper read from recordings and three reading texts to work through. WRITTEN FOR THIS APP More than 750 written questions, nine original reading texts, and every explanation, spelling sentence and hint written for this app. Nothing is copied from past papers, textbooks or revision guides. The arithmetic is generated fresh every time, so it never runs out. BUILT FOR CONCENTRATION The app has its own keyboard: no autocorrect, no predictive text and no microphone, so a spelling answer is the child's own. It notices when they leave mid-question, and works with Guided Access to keep them in the app. PROGRESS A GROWN-UP CAN READ A topic-by-topic view of what is secure, what is coming along and what needs work — in plain English, with the curriculum skill written out. NOTHING COLLECTED No account, no sign-in, no adverts, no analytics and no tracking. Nothing about your child leaves the device: the only thing that ever goes out is a purchase, and that goes to Apple rather than to us. Progress is a single file on the device, and Settings can erase it. There are no leaderboards and no comparison with other children. WHAT IT COSTS Buy it once for £4.99, or subscribe at £0.99 a month or £3.99 a year. Both subscriptions begin with one week free, and everything in the app is included either way. Payment is taken by your Apple Account at the end of the free week, and again each period after that, unless renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in Settings › your name › Subscriptions. The one-off purchase does not renew and has nothing to cancel. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department for Education or the Standards and Testing Agency. The practice papers are our own work, not past papers.
