The call

The clearest difference is rating: Maple Calculator at 4.7 against Algebrator's 2.9. Maple Calculator also leads on ratings volume (1.5K vs 48). Algebrator's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Maple Calculator holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Maple Calculator has 1.5K ratings behind it against 48, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Maple Calculator's written reviews are positive against 66% of Algebrator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
