Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: AniPlaylist at free with in-app purchases against CodaMusic's subscription. AniPlaylist also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 66%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). CodaMusic's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.7K vs 11). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CodaMusic sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and AniPlaylist sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
AniPlaylist holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CodaMusic has 1.7K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 66% of CodaMusic's written reviews are positive against 100% of AniPlaylist's.
CodaMusic ships an update every 3 weeks, AniPlaylist monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
