Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: ReefRanks at 5.0 against SYNA's 3.4. SYNA's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ReefRanks sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.00 per month. SYNA asks for nothing beyond the download.
ReefRanks holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SYNA has 368 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
SYNA ships an update every 10 days, ReefRanks every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
