Aware

Aware helps you create a small moment of choice before distraction takes over. Use gentle pauses, intentional focus sessions, and daily limits to build healthier screen habits. • Opening Pause Pause briefly before opening selected apps. Take a breath, then choose whether to continue. • Daily App Limits Set a daily limit for each managed app. When the limit is reached, iOS presents Aware’s intervention screen so you can pause and decide. • Focus Sessions Start a 25-minute, one-hour, or custom Focus session. Optional Strict Focus keeps the session running until it ends. • Bedtime Pause Schedule a quiet window for entertainment apps and protect your evening routine. • Review Your Progress See pauses and estimated time saved for today, the last 7 days, or the last 30 days. • Build a Streak Keep showing up and mark milestones from your first pause to a 30-day streak. Privacy matters. Aware uses Apple’s Screen Time APIs to manage the apps you choose. It does not read chats, messages, browsing content, or what you do inside an app. Your history stays on your device. Aware is designed to feel supportive, not punitive: a calm interruption when you need a moment to choose.

Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Aware at every 5 days against OffScreen's every 3 weeks. OffScreen's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
