Verdict
StarPlayer+ and 애니툰 both sit at 3.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of 애니툰's written reviews are positive against 29% of StarPlayer+'s. 애니툰 also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 months). StarPlayer+'s advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 49) and ratings volume (95 vs 4). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 애니툰 sells 26 one-off in-app purchases. StarPlayer+ asks for nothing beyond the download.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.9 for StarPlayer+ against 4.0 for 애니툰. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StarPlayer+ has 95 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 29% of StarPlayer+'s written reviews are positive against 100% of 애니툰's.
StarPlayer+ ships an update every 3 months, 애니툰 every 11 days. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
