Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: 파일썬 at 90% against StarPlayer+'s 30%. 파일썬 also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months). StarPlayer+'s advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11) and rating (3.8 vs 3.4). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 파일썬 sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. StarPlayer+ asks for nothing beyond the download.
StarPlayer+ holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StarPlayer+ has 88 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of StarPlayer+'s written reviews are positive against 90% of 파일썬's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
StarPlayer+ ships an update every 3 months, 파일썬 every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
