About

Parent Brief

Make more informed choices about what your child watches, reads and plays. Parent Brief helps parents explore the content of books, movies, TV shows, games and apps. A paid subscription is required for content checks, photo checks, child profiles, saved decisions and history. Your price, any available free trial and renewal terms are shown before you subscribe. CHECK A TITLE Type a title and your child's age. Get guidance about themes, scary scenes, violence, language and other content that may matter to your family, along with positive qualities to discuss together. PHOTOGRAPH A COVER Take a photo of a book cover, game box or screen instead of typing. If the title is unclear, Parent Brief asks for more details. GUIDANCE FOR YOUR FAMILY Create a profile for each child and save your decisions about what they can watch, read or play. These saved decisions help you keep track of your family's choices. They do not block content on a device. FAMILY DEVICES Link your child’s iPhone with the Parent Brief Kids companion app. Manage age-based Screen Time rules and pause apps with Family Sharing approval. Choose optional location sharing, view the last reported location and daily history, and save places for arrival and departure alerts. Always Location permission is required; updates depend on connectivity, permissions and iOS background settings. YOUR HISTORY, IN ONE PLACE Find previous checks on your phone and at parentbrief.com when you sign in to the same account. SOURCES WHEN AVAILABLE Reports include source links when they can be verified. If current sources are unavailable, Parent Brief can still offer general guidance and makes that limitation clear. Reports use AI and can be incomplete or incorrect. They support your judgement and do not replace official age ratings or your own review of the content. PRIVATE TO YOUR ACCOUNT Photos you submit are stored privately with their reports so you can find them again. You can delete reports or delete your account and its data from Settings. SUBSCRIPTION DETAILS Parent Brief offers a yearly subscription. The app displays your local price, any eligible trial and the renewal terms before you confirm a purchase. A free trial becomes a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
