Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Transact eAccounts at 4.8 against Penn State Go's 4.2. Transact eAccounts also leads on ratings volume (55K vs 5) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). Penn State Go's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Transact eAccounts holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Transact eAccounts has 55K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of Penn State Go's written reviews are positive against 40% of Transact eAccounts's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Penn State Go ships an update every 3 months, Transact eAccounts monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
