About

DVTD

Features

DVTD is an app that keeps the voices of the people you are devoted to. It asks you questions worth answering, for your partner, your mum, your child, or yourself. You answer out loud, in your own voice, or in writing, and every answer is saved to a private Vault. Years from now, that is not a note. It is them, talking. WHAT IS INSIDE Thousands of questions, each inspired by an expert and each naming its source: a researcher, a book, a study, or a verse. Gottman, Sue Johnson, Esther Perel, Brené Brown, Viktor Frankl, the Harvard Study of Adult Development. Every card is written in the spirit of the work rather than quoting it, and the source is on the card so you can go and read it yourself. FOUR KINDS OF VAULT Your partner. A deck for each of the love languages, plus a mixed deck and Scripture. Someone older. Legacy: the questions you meant to ask your nan and never did. Record them answering, in their own voice. Your child. Raising, split for younger and older, so what you want them to know is not left to memory. Yourself. Memoir and Becoming. Looking back honestly, and forward on purpose. EVENTS A wedding, a birthday or a farewell can have a room full of guests answering the same questions, set by you. Their answers stay sealed until you choose to reveal them. HOW IT WORKS Open a Vault, draw a card, then record or write. That is the whole thing. You can share a Vault with one other person, so you are both recording into it. When there is enough in a Vault, turn it into a printed book: every answer on the page, every voice a scan away. WHAT YOU RECORD IS KEPT Nothing you record gets deleted, including if you stop paying. Cancelling stops new draws and new invitations. It does not touch anything already recorded. That is written into our privacy policy, not just onto this page. Vaults are private, and you choose who is in one. Either person can lock a Vault, and it takes both of you to unlock it. You can always delete your own voice. You can never delete someone else's. TRY IT FREE Start free, with seven cards a week in every Vault. Upgrade any time for full access, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan. Ask it. Say it.
