Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Perigold at weekly against Ocean Wine & Spirits's every 2 months. Perigold also leads on ratings volume (8K vs 22). Ocean Wine & Spirits's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 82%) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Ocean Wine & Spirits against 4.9 for Perigold. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Perigold has 8K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Ocean Wine & Spirits's written reviews are positive against 82% of Perigold's.
Ocean Wine & Spirits ships an update every 2 months, Perigold weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
