If yes, this app is for you. "Plane Above Me" answers that exact question. You can scan the sky manually by pressing its Scan button or let the app auto-detect flights. Once it detects the sound of aircrafts, it will retrieve live flight data for you. Behind the scenes, it uses AI sound classification models to achieve that. Privacy friendly: 1) Location data is used for scanning for flights nearby only. It is never stored and sent anywhere. 2) If activated, audio data is analyzed on device for aircraft sound identification only. It is never stored and sent anywhere.

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Plane Above Me at none against Cloud Battery's 1. Plane Above Me also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). Cloud Battery's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 34) and device support (4 vs 2). On price and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
