Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: ntfy at fortnightly against Redmine Client's every 7 months. ntfy also leads on ratings volume (452 vs 3). Redmine Client's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Redmine Client holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ntfy has 452 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Redmine Client's written reviews are positive against 78% of ntfy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Redmine Client ships an update every 7 months, ntfy fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
