It just works
Plenty of support from other tooling (Kuma Uptime, etc ). A simple REST interface means you can send notifications in your scripts using curl. What more could you want? Seriously if youβre looking for more than this, you have a different use case.
No banners or notifications
I see the alerts if I check the app itself but no notifications. All are enabled and persistent
Need Time Stamps
I love ntfy and the fact that I can self host it. It has been absolutely amazing! I do wish that there were proper time stamps for previous day notifications like there are for the same day. I can tell exactly what time I received a notification if it happened today, but anything prior to today just says yesterday or the date I received it. I hope this is implemented in the near future.

I was just thinking about how great this app is. For free too. Love being able to send a small notification infrequently- and at no cost. Works great for hobby coding projects!

Unable to get the actual notification to my phone.
Even though my phone is set to loud badges and notifications. The app never makes a noise or show a notification has been received. Desperately need this to work but no luck

Nice app, but needs a usability improvement
I appreciate that a free app is basically someone's hobby. I'm grateful for having this. But why do so many apps insist on cutting off long labels with ellipsis and make my it impossible to read the full label?
This app requires use of obscure topic/channel names. Okay great, but how am I ever supposed to retrieve the topic if there is literally nowhere in the UI where it is displayed fully?
Suggested improvement: extend the topic display to be dynamic text and not a limited one line label. having multiline topic is essential.

Just the right fit
Love how simple it is to integrate and get to work for tasks that I keep forgetting

Very easy to set up. Lightweight yet versatile enough to easily build effective alerting into observability routines and automations.
Great app but missing key features
Thank you for making this app and keeping it free. Very useful in my homelab home assistant self hosted setup.
Missing key features:
1- Fix badge notifications not working
2- Enable the user to rename and reorganize his topics
3- Enable notifications control per topic. The minimum viable product would be to at least being able to silence a topic so the user is informed only when he opens the app. More control would useful to take avantage of the priority setting (which make no difference today) and make this app 6/5 stars.

Amazing
Very very good app for codex tasks that you arenβt watching
Waste of time during emergency
The app sent alerts but without any sound. I checked and made sure nothing is on mute, everything was loud and clear yet no sound during test or after. Waste of time!
