Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: AKASO GO at 15K against VeeCar's 1.3K. AKASO GO also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (29% vs 20%). VeeCar's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
VeeCar holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AKASO GO has 15K ratings behind it against 1.3K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of AKASO GO's written reviews are positive against 20% of VeeCar's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
AKASO GO ships an update monthly, VeeCar every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
