Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: GetOut at none against Alt 101's shown. GetOut also leads on ratings volume (1K vs 3) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 9 months). Alt 101's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (ad-supported vs paid). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Alt 101 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GetOut has 1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
GetOut ships an update every 2 months, Alt 101 every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
