One more set? Have I done enough? Am I overdoing it? You've been answering by feel. Loadwave answers with a light. Log a set — weight and reps — and you immediately see green, yellow or red. Green: keep going. Yellow: you're at the top edge. Red: that's enough for today. That's it. The maths runs underneath; you never have to learn it. WHY IT WORKS Every weight has an ideal number of reps. Fewer, and the stimulus is too small. More, and you accumulate fatigue and risk. Just right, and you get the most out of the session. A. S. Prilepin worked this out from the training logs of thousands of elite lifters, and it still underpins strength programming today. Loadwave measures every set against it — and on a mixed-zone day it switches to Hristov's INOL formula, so a textbook multi-zone session never triggers a false alarm. WHAT YOU GET • A live light after every set — at the bar, not in hindsight • Working-weight calculator: pick a percentage, get the kilos and the recommended sets and reps • Four lifts: squat, bench, deadlift, curl — with variations (paused, close grip, speed, tempo, pin, deficit, block) • Per-variation references you never have to test for: derived from your competition max • Weekly load chart across 8 weeks, with thresholds — see when you're drifting into too much • RPE drift detection: if the same weight feels heavier week after week, you hear about it early • INOL · NL · AWL for the curious — one tap away, never in the way • Export and restore — your data is yours, and opens in any spreadsheet HOW IT BEHAVES No account. No sign-up. No ads. No internet needed — reception in a gym is bad anyway. Everything stays on your phone. WHAT'S FREE Everything for the first 30 days, with no card required. Nothing starts charging; the trial simply ends. After that these stay yours with no time limit: logging, the light, the working-weight calculator, all four competition lifts, 30 days of history, and full export. Pro is a one-time purchase — no subscription. It opens the complete history, the weekly chart, RPE drift detection and the variations. Your sessions are never deleted. Older ones aren't shown without Pro, but they stay on your phone and in every export — and reappear the moment you unlock. WHO IT'S FOR Powerlifters and strength trainees who work with numbers but don't want to keep a spreadsheet. Competing or just getting stronger, the question is the same: was today enough? IMPORTANT Loadwave gives guidelines, not medical advice. Prilepin's numbers assume explosive sets taken short of failure. You know your body — the app is just a better pair of glasses.
